THE INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE ONLY RELATES TO REQUESTS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT RECORDS UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE. ALL OTHER INQUIRIES SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE MONROE COUNTY OPEN RECORDS OFFICER.

Requests for public information under Pennsylvania’s Right to Know Act may be submitted in person, online, or by mail, facsimile, or email to the Open Records Officer.

Requests can be submitted by completing the Open Records Request Form.

Please submit the completed form to Chief County Detective Eric J. Kerchner by email at ekerchner@monroecountypa.gov, by fax to (570) 517-3825, or by U.S. Mail / in person at 610 Monroe Street, Suite 126, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

The request must identify or describe the records sought with sufficient specificity for us to ascertain which records are being requested, and must include the name and address to which our Office should address its response.

The District Attorney’s Office does not accept verbal requests for information under the Right to Know Act.

Photocopying fees are $0.25 per page, and all other fees are set in accordance with the Fee Structure contained within the Act. For the full text of the Act, click here.

The Appeals Officer for the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney is Assistant District Attorney Michael T. Rakaczewski, District Attorney’s Office, 610 Monroe St. Stroudsburg PA 18360. Assistant District Attorney Michael T. Rakaczewski also serves as the Appeals Officer for all police departments and law enforcement agencies within Monroe County.

To appeal a decision made through the MCDA Detective Division or a decision made by a Monroe County, Pennsylvania based law enforcement agency, send an email to mrakaczewski@monroecountypa.gov with copies of the original request and decision attached as a PDF file.
