Prostitution and Sex Trafficking in NEPA - part 1
The world's oldest profession is adapting to modern technology and police are rushing to keep up.
Online sites that advertise sex for sale are changing the way police investigate prostitution.
With sites like Backpage, Escort Phone Search, Erotic Mug Shots, Craigs List and more, buyers can buy sex as easily as they can order a pizza.
The buyers think they're anonymous, but they're not always alone. Detectives watch the sites closely.
Some view prostitution as a "victimless" crime, however, many of the women involved say that is far from true.
Detective Kimberly Lippincott from the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney discusses the issue with Laurie Monteforte from WBRE.
